Dear Waddlebird Supporters,
2012 is here, and the world hasnt ended, so we at Waddlebird have decided to push on with our work towards slowing species extinction. But for a moment, we would like to thank you for meeting our incredible challenge to protect 500 acres of critically endangered habitat.
Waddlebird works to save endangered species by protecting areas called hotspots, or regions of dense threatened biodiversity. With twenty-five days left in 2012, we were twenty-five acres short of the goal, and it began to look like we might fall just shy. But thanks to our supporters like yourself, you met our challenge and even went beyond.
Waddlebird has now protected 517 acres of crucial habitat. This donation will help protect our oceans in particular the incredible species of leatherback turtles, bluefin tuna, whale sharks and blue whales.
To put 517 acres in perspective, its equivalent to 574 football fields, nearly five and a half Disneylands or more than half of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Please continue to tell your friends about Waddlebird, send us pictures of you in your shirts and tell us what you want for the next product!
And remember, 9 out of 10 are proven to have more fun when wearing Waddlebird!
Thank you again for three great years of support.
