Bird King
The Philippines
The Philippine Eagle is the largest species of Eagle. The bird is also known as ‘Haring Ibon’, literally meaning bird king.
The Philippine Eagle is very unique in its appearance. It has a white underbelly and a dark face. The eagle has long brown feathers streaming down its back. The bird has threatening, razor sharp talons and yellow legs.
The Philippine Eagle populates for major islands in the Philippines. For successful maturing of a chic, the eagle needs between 16000 and 32000 acres of forest. The Eagle is therefore very susceptible to deforestation.
