Great White Shark
Sneak Attack
The Great White is undoubtedly the most feared predator in the sea. The shark can grow over 20 feet long and weigh nearly 5000 pounds. With a powerful jaw and ferociously strong bite, the shark lives up to its reputation.
Great White Sharks are known to hunt in the morning. They are almost exclusively hunt in stealth, killing prey with one strike from below.
A steady drop in population has taken place since the 1970’s, and conservation efforts have been slow and relatively unfruitful. Great Whites are hunted for their fins, teeth, and jaws. The species is now protected, but illegal hunting continues to be an issue.
