Dorca Gazelle
Desert Goers
Range
Arabia and Europe
The Dorca Gazelle is an animal that has truly adapted to a harsh environment. Living in the brutal Arabian climate is nearly impossible, but the Dorca Gazelle meets the challenge. A Dorca is able to not drink in its entire lifetime. It is able to get the water it requires through plants.
The main predators of the Dorca Gazelle are all large cats - lions, leopards, and cheetahs. The main threat to the survival of the species is not natural predators, but a growing human population. Grazing land that the Dorca relies on is being converted into farmland and other human settlements.
